We are a family-run business.

We are the Thalwitz family, and we are excited to bring Twist Treats, a new ice cream & dessert truck, to central Virginia. Our family has owned and operated the Bavarian Chef since its founding in 1974. In 2013 we began a catering company and purchased our first food truck. You'll find the Bavarian Chef food truck out and about, serving classic German fare & comfort food. And now, look for Twist Treats to satisfy your sweet tooth!
